Lunch #61: Duk Li Dim Sum‎ - Good value for money

I visited this restaurant after I saw the good reviews. I left the restaurant somewhat disappointed. I would not give 4 or 5 stars for the food. I feel it is just a good value for money place to eat timsum.

Delfino's Chicago Style Pizza - Best Pizza I've had in Washington State

I LOOOVE this place!! Yum! It's the best pizza place I've been to in Washington State. Their Caesar Salad is the best I ever had (homemade... you can tell!), their stuffed spinach and stuffed or deep dish delfino's special is absolutely amazing.

The cashier threw my receipt at me! And then he proceeded to tell me that he never wanted to see me in his restaurant again. Unbelievable.

Pub 85 - Bad Service Bad Food

I brought about 15 or so co workers to this place thinking it would be fun and casual. It turns out, they weren't interested in serving us so I gave a snap and wave. The guy from the bar (white shirt with a black number 45) that was doing a half job of serving came up and said "don't snap at me. what do you want!?" What? I bring all these people in and get insulted? Then we have the Wednesday bike night BBQ (there were two bikes at least). If you like bones and fat with no meat for $9 and extremely rude servers, this is your place. Do they make a 0 star rating? There are plenty of other sports bars in Kirkland.

I am new to the Lake Stevens area and because I cummute to the Microsoft campus every day, I was concerned about eating right. Recently, my daughters and I discovered the Hot Iron Mongolian Grill and our worries were over. The food there is Fresh and very healthy. My daughters and I now eat there at least once a week and love it. the staff at the Hot Iron are warm and genuine. We are very happy with the food and the service. The Collins Family gives the Hot Iron - 5 Stars

Opal - New and Improved

I had been to Opal once before and was not so impressed, a beautiful space with overpriced, underwhelming food. I recently heard through the proverbial foodie grapevine that a new chef fresh from Portland had taken the reigns in the kitchen. We decided to check it out. New menu format small/large plate pricing that includes 5 sections: Garden-Fish-Meat-Cheese-Dessert. We tried alot, Pork Belly with trotter fritters, marinated razor clams with mint and cilantro, beets with orange and avocado, sweetbreads with turnips, brown sugar and mustard. ginger panna cotta. We were blown away. Opal's food rivals any restaurant in the city. Our waiter said that the menu changes daily and is focused on local and sustainable. I say check it out!

Uncle Si's Pizza - Best New York Style Pizza

Smells amazing the minute you walk in the door. Great thin crust Italian style pizza. They staff actually hand tosses the pizza and makes it order. I haven't tasted pizza this good since the last time I visited New York. Their salads are awesome too. It's pretty rare to get a the quality of salad they provide in a pizza restaurant. Additionally, they have good wine at inexpensive prices!

Fort St George - One of the best place to eat in the Int. District

This place is very small tucked upstairs from Pink Godzilla. The prices are great and they have some very authentic dishes. My favorite is the Enoki Mushroom Pasta in a soy/butter sauce. It is to die for. They have some great soda's and drinks. But the food is consistently good.

Jade Garden Restaurant - Dim Sum

This restaurant has become a fixture for both myself and friends. We go every other Sunday, very early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Even so you are generally looking at a 15-30 min wait to be seated. This place is casual and very crowded. You can be seated faster if you are willing to share a large circular table with other guests.

Impromptu Wine & Art Bar - No ID, no FOOD!

We waited about 15-min and felt a little forgotten about, then the waitress finally came over and asked to take our order. Dinner was a special Valentines menu $65/person and I was keenly interested in a bottle of wine. She seemed annoyed and quickly suggested a Merlot and asked for our ID. I guess it's always nice to be asked for ID, since we're 34 and 37 years old. "Oh no", my partner said as she realized she had left it in her jeans from the concert the other night. As we explained we were certainly over 21 years, especially given we're spending $65/person food, plus wine and all of the gray-hair on our heads. Who hasn't been in this situation? And given today's day-in-age, we're all kind of used to being S.O.L.. Quickly, we got used to the idea of no wine. Big deal. Then we were shocked! "I'm sorry", the curly haired woman explain, "but I also can't let your stay here unless you can prove your 21 .... and you'll have to leave.". We tried to reason with the waitress, given we were both OK with not getting wine at 37 years old. But to not even let us enjoy a $150 dinner on Valentine's Day with reservations for a place that was only 50% full? I asked, "So we're not going to use any common-sense here? We're both clearly in our mid 30's.". Nope. Apparently not and we were asked to leave.

Rimrock Steakhouse - Rimrock Steakhouse--Forget It

My wife and I dined at the Rimrock in early Feb 2008. The waitresses were nice; that's all I can say on the plus side. The portions were small and lukewarm. My $22.00 T-Bone was a sad joke; very tough and definitely not 16 ounces as advertised. It was a pretty good place to dine a couple years ago, but the current owners have cut too many corners. Save your money.

Pedeltweezer's Chinese & Pizza - Pride, Perfection, and Chinese Pizza!!

My extended family and I ate a large dinner here (we are talkin like 20 people!) We pretty much took up the whole dining area with the exception of one table. The food is well worth traveling for! Try their General Tso's Chicken and you will never want any other!! You will go crazy as your tastebud's implode with flavor! Not a fan of spice? Tell the chef what level of spice you want on your General!! And if you leave without having their almond chicken, you have just committed a crime! As an appetizer, try the crab rangoon!! Your mouth will water as you bite into creamy bundles of crab!!! If you want to sample the food also get a forbidden city pizza!! So good it should be forbidden!! We had enough food to take home and eat the next but it didn't last any longer then that!!!!
