Sammy's Woodfired Pizza - Don't Bother

My family and I currently reside in Las Vegas and dine at Sammy's about once a week. We normally eat at the Centennial Hills location but were on Sahara and decided to give the W. Sahara location a try. I was not impressed in the least. My family went out to celebrate a very big step in our lives and our whole evening was soured due to our dining experience. We chose to sit outside on the patio because the fireplace was lit and it was nice weather. The WHOLE time we sat there, two little boys ran around the fire, near our table, and back and forth right in front of the entrance to the restaurant. My husband asked them politely to cease and they did. For one minute, and then came back out again and started running around. Their parents had already paid for the bill and were just sitting in the reception area talking while their children were outside running around. While we sat there, four other couples came in to dine at the restaurant and every single one of them had to dodge the children or tell them to stop running so that they could get to the entrance. Finally, I went inside to address the parents regarding their children and was treated rudely by them and told that they had gotten permission from the restaurant (a server) for their sons to play outside directly in front of the restaurant. I want to make clear that up until this point, I did not hold the staff at the restaurant accountable. However, when I complained to the manager, Heather Ryan, about the situation, she did nothing. The children were told to stay inside (where they stood and made rude gestures at the front entrance), but came out again by the fire when their parents came out and sat at an outside table. Then, after they left, their parents stood in the parking lot talking while their children ran around the entrance still, this time knocking over a plant. I am utterly disappointed in Sammy's ability to handle this situation. The complete disregard of our complaint about our dining environment is appalling. We were offered no form of compensation, no apology, no form of remorse whatsoever. If this is the way that Sammy's wishes to treat its customers, then my family and I emphatically make the decision to not dine here again.

Garduno's (Palms Resort) - Sucker Punched

This is more about the price of liquor than the food, which is just average on a good day. My wife and I had dinner there this last weekend and ordered two margarita's. I asked about the sizes and made a cup with my hands and was told by the waiter that was a small. My wife asked for the large as did I. There were no prices on the menu for liquor and the waiter didn't offer up any and we didn't think to ask. When we got the bill, the prices were as follows....1 strawberry $26.95 and 1 regular margarita $24.95. My complaint is this, if you're not going to post prices then at least have the waiter or waitress inform you of the prices. What's to stop them at $26.95? Why not $30, $40 or even $50 a pop? After that "hand-in-my-wallet" experience, we won't be going back to Garduno's. Ridiculous prices for alcohol and average Mexican food. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Le Cafe Ile St Louis - Service Sucks!

I travelled to Las Vegas from Phoenix as a birthday get together for my Mom. We arrived at the Paris, checked in and went to the Le Cafe ile St. Louis restaurant. We waited 20 minutes for a seat (no big deal) and were seated at a table in the corner by the loud and smelly casino. This is when it got bad...We waited over 40 minutes for our server to show up. We finally mentioned something to the manager and after that we had Alex show up at our table with a huge chip on his shoulder. We ordered and then sat there for another 50 minutes. We again mentioned our concern and at this time Alex brought us our food with a huff. Never did he refill our glasses, ask if everything was ok - nothing. We had to flag him down each time and the final straw was the fit he threw over us asking for 'to go' boxes. On leaving - I sought out the manager for the 3rd time and let him know what a horrible server Alex was and about the attitude we received from him. He told me that Alex was their "Employee of the Month"!! If that is what they consider noteworthy - I will never dine there again.

Koi is one of the great new spots in Las Vegas. Already a very hot spot in both LA and New York, it fits right in at The Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. A celebrity favorite, Koi is known for both its Japanese-inspired cuisine with California accents, as well as its great service, décor and attitude. This is a fun evening with great food.
