Da Vinci - Nice new restaurant

I went to DaVinci yesterday and I must say that I will almost certainly come back. All in all everything was good, especially the food. The design is very unique and the outdoor patio is very nice, especially on a warm spring or summer evening. One of the things that really added a nice touch to my evening was when the chef came out to speak to us, which doesnt happen very often. I will definetly come back, and by the looks of it it might even become my new usual destination.

Da Vinci - Pleasently Surprised

This restaurant was recommended by a very close friend of mine and I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised. I must admit that I did not necessarily expect much since it is a relative newcomer to the 'fine dining' scene but I was very happy with my dining experience. To start off with the food was excellent, all the way from appetizers to the deserts - the chef fish was certainly one of the best dishes I have had in a long time. The service was on part with the food, just like anyone would expect from the price of the menu (which is actually cheaper than other comparable restaurants) and the atmosphere and the design are both very nice. I do not normally take the time to comment on my dining experiences but I feel that I should make an exception to command the people behind DaVinci for their fine work and hopefully one of them read this.

Kilroy's Cafe - Worst Bar Experience of My Life

The bouncer and bartender were incredibly rude to my friends and me. We came a long distance just to hear the live music that night, and they seated us after carding us. Then they refused to serve us drinks because they said our IDs were invalid, but they had just OK'd them minutes before when we first came in (and they were valid). Then minutes after that, the bouncer came over and started yelling at us to leave. We were just sitting quietly, listening to the music. I asked to speak to the manager because I didn't understand the policy and because the bouncer seemed unstable and was being incredibly disrespectful, but in his inexplicable rage, he shouted, "The manager is over there. You're talking to ME!" He was leaning in over me, his spit flying in my face as he kept shouting at me to leave, even though I was just politely requesting to speak to another employee. I love some of the blues bands that perform at Kilroy's, but I obviously won't ever be going back. I think people, whether new customers considering going there or regular customers, should be aware that this bar sees fit to treat their patrons this way. I was so appalled at the staff's rudeness and disrespect that my friends and I reported the bar to the Massachusetts Better Business Bureau.

My wife & I waited patiently for service that never came. When we finally asked the bartender Gina if we could put in our order she rudely told us to wait which we foolishly did. We eventually left unserved.

Daniela's Cantina - Avoid at all costs!

We swung by on a Sunday for dinner. Our experience there was absolutely horrible. The service was lousy, even though only 3 tables were seated before us. The chips were stale and the out-of-a-bottle salsa also stale. Our two young boys ordered Hot Chocolate and it arrived luke warm with the instant powder stuck to the sides of the mugs. I ordered a beer and the waitress plunked down the bottle and left (i.e. no glass, just the bottle) and it was room temperature. We ordered Fajitas and what arrived was so vile we left the food untouched and simply asked for the bill. My seven year old son summed it up well when he asked, "Dad, is this a zero star restaurant?".

They don't care about the individual customer. All they care about is your money. I ordered a bunch of food at lunch with my coworkers. I arrived at the store, payed for the food and waited. A gentlemen brought me my food and told me I am all set.

The Acton Jazz Cafe - Appetizers Rock!!

In addition to having intimate candlelit atmosphere, very hip art work on the walls, friendly staff, and live music as good as Ryle's or Regatta Bar, this hidden gem of a cafe also boasts some wonderful appetizers. The coconut papaya shrimp comes out golden and crisp with a tangy sauce on the side. And the spicy peanut sauce that accompanies the succulent chicken tenders appetizer is something I'd like to figure out how to make at home.
