Great Food, Nice Crowd

The food at this establishment is quite good and reasonably priced, a good thing these days. There is a lovely garden room in the back for dining and is also available for parties. Great pub appetizers, (mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, potato skins, tender fried calamari,and a killer shrimp cocktail are only just a few of the offerings.) Their seafood is to die for (linguine with shrimp wrapped in bacon in a garlic butter sauce is one of my favorites.) Although I haven't tried all the dishes, I can safely say that you can't go wrong with anything you select: beef and chops, the pasta dishes and the chicken dishes are terrific. Okay...my one quibble... and it is a huge one for me. While you can get your steaks cooked exactly as you requested, you will never ever get a medium rare hamburger. They come one way...well done. Of course you can exercise your right to return it and politely tell the wait staff to "pleeeeaaasse make sure the cook knows what I want. (I hate returning food - it's the paranoia in me.) My next burger came out more well done than my first. Starving as I was, I choked down about half of it . They did not charge me for it, though, which I thought was appropriate and classy. I do really like the place. The owner is nice and the crowd at the bar seems nice too. Bon Apetite!
