Cravings offers a very wide variety of food that is all well prepared. Meats, fowl, vegetables, salads, and desserts are all delicious. The distinctive plates, bowls, and flatware add to the experience. The gelato bar is a nice touch. Service is also quite good. The only negative is that the stations strike me as very far apart, and it seems like I walk for miles during dinner.
Good Italian At Mirage - Olives At Bellagio Is Better
Jun 21, 2009
Onda is a perfectly good Italian restaurant from Todd English in a city short on quality Italian food. The room is attractive and the service is generally good. The selection of breads are very good by any standard. Both starters and entrees are well done, although my favorite sweet pea ravioli was taken off the menu.Still one of the better dining options at Mirage.
Shanghai Lilly is a gem. The theme reminds me of Indiana Jones era Shanghai and is reinforced by the servers' uniforms. I chose potstickers followed by ginger shrimp. Both were very good and seasoning was spot on. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The wine list is very good which I find rare for a Chinese restaurant. If you like high concept Chinese food, you should love Shanghai Lilly
The Cafe At The Drugstore offers pastries, salads, and sandwiches to eat in or take out. During my 2 stays at Wynn and Encore, I stopped at The Cafe each morning for croissants and tea.Pastries are well prepared and there was a better selection of teas than at most cafes. Not in the same class as Jean Philippe at Bellagio but very good never the less.
Caribe Cafe exceeded my expectations. I stopped by one morning before breakfast since I had no idea of what I wanted. The menu offers just about anything under the sun. I got a tasty steak and poached eggs that I really enjoyed. Service was good although not exceptional. The only sour note is that Caribe Cafe does not start breakfast service until 8 am.
I ate at the Bellagio Buffet twice in May 2009. The food is far beyond what I expected from any buffet, regardless of price. Salads are much better thsn any other buffer with crisp, fresh, vegetables, tasty toppings, and super dressings. Duck lovers will appreciate the duck confit, which was very well prepared. Among desserts, the Bananas Foster were superb. I will return..

I had dinner at Le Village in May 2009 and was hoping for at least a vague suggestion of French food in a clean setting. Apparently, I expected too much. The food was.tasteless and there was trash on the floor. Once again, Harrah's has ruined a good thing.
Charlie Palmer Steak fits the Four Seasons like a glove. It is understated and offers exceptional quality like its host hotel. The room is cozy and never seems noisy to me. The starters are all excellent but dry aged beef is the star of the show. The ribeye is my favorite cut. The sides are great including the three cheese potato gratin, which is a must. The wine list is very good, which is no surprise in a Charlie Palmer restaurant.Service is also quite good without being too formal. The only real negative is that I wish that the dessert menu offered a wider selection. If you're in the mood for a steak,Charlie Palmer is the place
I eat at Bayside every time I stay at Mandalay Bay or THE Hotel. The room is bright due to the windows at the end. The food is delicious and includes items like osso buco, which is rare at a buffet.Service is attentive and I don't recall ever having to wait for a frink refill.Worth a return trio.
