Cheese Steak...
Dec 13, 2007

Best cheese steak I had so far. All the beef are sliced right there in front of me, cooked from bright red right there in front of me. The bun is soft, the seasoning is perfect.

Besides, a 7" cheese steak can feed a very hungry couple!

olallieberry pie is legendary
Dec 11, 2007

The olallieberry pie has the perfect balance of tartness of the fillings and the sweetness of the dough. It's definitely worth the $16.

Now this is authentic SoCal =)
I love their fish burritos: with grilled fish and great cilantro sauce, and less than $5 after tax.
Also love their enchilada with green sauce.
Definitely better fish taco/burrito than some other "chains".

You get to "build" your burger exactly the way you want it, down to the sauce you might want.
I especially like their "akins" burger: no bun, but you get a nice spring salad with it.

BEST Southern BBQ in Bay Area
Jul 20, 2007

The closest one to the South Bay. Simply the best. The most ghetto restaurant I have been, but the BEST. Words can not describe how good the sauce is: smoky, sweet, tart... Must try. Also have locations in Oakland and Berkeley.

Great sandwich
Jul 20, 2007

I ordered the Spring Flatbread, Italian prosciutto with green beans on flat bread - exquisite!!! They also make sandwiches using Salum's salami. The chocolate cookie was very good. Crisp outside, warm and moist inside.
Great little place!

Best bread sticks
Jul 18, 2007

They have the best bread sticks. And they usually give you a free one when you stand in line.
I like all their food. The chicken wings are tasty. The pizzas were surprisingly good. Greek salad is very good, too.
But you have to get the bread sticks.

Very fresh fish
Jul 18, 2007

Very fresh fish every time. I tried yellow tail, squid, and salmon. Never disappoints. I took off 1 star because it's a bit pricey. A sandwich is about $8-$10. A plate is about $10-$12.

I like their food
Jul 18, 2007

I know, it's a chain. So what, I really like its food.
I got the Habachi beef. It was prepared perfectly. I thought the sauce was a bit too sweet. Green bean was very tasty. I am sure they poured liquid butter on it.

The original cheesecake was very good. Light, not too sweet. Perfect for a hot summer day.

The BEST Szechuan food
Jul 18, 2007

If I can only eat at 1 restaurant for the rest of my life, this will be it.

Best dishes:

Spicy boiled fish. The perfect mixture of chili pepper flakes, garlic, cilantro, and spices. The fish is always tender.

Pork belly (Dong Po Rou). I know it's not the healthiest thing on the menu, but once you taste the fat melt away on your tongue you can not resist. A palm-size square of pork belly slow-cooked in sweet sauce. **You will need to pre-order this dish the day of your visit. I usually call around 2-3pm to give them enough time to slow-cook it.

Pumpkin with pork (Nan Gua Fen Zheng Rou). Marinated pork stuffed in a kabacho pumpkin. Slow-steamed for hours until the pork is so tender you can't tell which is the pumpkin which is the pork. **You will need to pre-order this dish the day of your visit.

Spicy and sour cabbage. Napa cabbage stir-fried with vinegar and Szechuan pepper (hua jiao). Very refreshing.

And don't forget the purple rich dessert. It will calm the firm in your mouth.
