Wine Bars in New York City
Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar

When we first got here I really had my doubts. The design was nice but it was totally crowded and loud. There was one table open, but they refused to let us sit there because it was for four people. This was annoying since there were no parties of four but we were two and there right then. Anyway, it wound up being worth the wait. Our waitress seemed a bit too ditsy but she was really on it. Made sure we were served quickly since we had to wait (which wasn’t bad since we had drank wine. Anyways, food was great. My friend and I shared cheese and salad. Cheese plate was really good. (But I learned I don’t like caper berries!) Salad was nice and refreshing. We had the Mediterranean one. It was nice that everything was all chopped up bitesize. Made it a little different. We got a great bottle of wine too that the sommelier recommended. He’s really knowledgeable but not the most personable. We liked the wine though. And then of course there are the chocolates. We ended up getting one of each because we had to try them. So amazine!
