This place just opened up a couple of months ago right next to the ballpark. I'm sure it's a welcome sight for the game crowds on a hot day. They have a large selection of flavors, all made in-house.
I tried the Dolce Latte (a caramel flavored gelato) and the Gianduia (Chocolate Hazelnut). The Gianduia had a pronounced hazelnut flavor that I liked, but both scoops were fairly icy. It's hard to get that feeling of decadence without a smoother finish. Another problem was that the Dolce Latte had a bit of a gritty texture, or chalky aftertaste.
Still, ice cream is one of those things for me where if it's just OK, it's still pretty good. They also have a decent selection of sorbets and soy milk gelatos.
