I've lived in the city for a year now and haven't been all that blown away by the restaurant scene here. I met a friend for the wine tastings at Les Zyg and decided to stay for dinner afterwards and I have to say, I am finally impressed! This place is great--it's hip, got great ambiance and is unpretentious! They have a ton of wines for tastes and glasses and the bartenders are totally cool and want you to explore it. The live jazz has no cover--hello? Where else do you find that except at dinghy little Wally's? The food was really good too--nothing crazy, but straight-forward bistro food. Great pate, great escargot and awesome house made charcuterie.
I'm psyched.
