Juliano Gourmet Coffee on Lexington Ave provided me with one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had in 25 years here in New York.
The staff at Juliano's are inexcusably rude and their behavior towards their customers borders upon hostility.
After ordering over $25.00 worth of food the server refused to provide a glass of tap water with my meal and insisted that I pay for water. If that wasn't enough, as soon as we sat down another staff member immediately accosted us and insisted that we move to a different table because they "needed good tables for larger groups". It was late afternoon and the restaurant was near-empty with only 4 other people in it and at least 5 empty tables.
The food: bland flavorless pre-made sandwiches wrapped in plastic at high prices.
The coffee: average quality although the barista did a good job.
With several other such businesses nearby Juliano's I would highly recommend that you patronize any other establishment other than Juliano's.
