Cafe Muse

Nice surprise! Reviewed By superlb78 Feb 18, 2008 I had just dropped off my car at the Honda dealership and was gearing up to walk 3/4 a mile to the Starbucks to kill a few hours when, lo and behold, just a half block away was this little gem of a coffee shop. It struck me as new and still a little fresh rather than the settled, comfortable look of cafes that have been around a little while, but there were plenty of tables with comfortable chairs to read and write. I had pomegranate tea (bagged Stash brand, nothing special) and a tuna melt sandwich with havarti cheese on whole weat with a side of sweet potato fries. Delicious! Good-sized portions, everything tasted healthy and fresh, and they served a nice tangelo on the side that looked like it may have come from the owner's backyard. Beyond the good food, though, the ambience was relaxed, sunny, and welcoming. The staff (Jennifer) was friendly and courteous and seemed to know everyone who came in, even though this place has only been open about three months. When I first got there at around 9:30 a.m., someone was even playing the piano in the corner - what a nice surprise, when I was expecting to kill four hours in either a Starbucks or a Honda dealership! I will definitely come back soon, and not only when I have to have my car repaired.
