If you've lived in San Diego a while, you probably already have a favorite place like this. A dependable little taqueria that you turn to when it's midnight and you don't feel like going to Jack In The Box.
All the usual items are represented here. I like the carnitas, beef, chicken, bean, and breakfast burritos. The carne asada is just alright here -- a little tough, and lacking a strong beef flavor. I also don't like the fish burritos/tacos here much.
One of my favorites is the Texas burrito -- stewed chicken, french fries, cheese, and sour cream. It's pretty decadent. Also worth noting is the guacamole, though not as good as a proper guacamole, it beats most of the other *bertos. If I really feel like being bad, I'll get the fries or nachos, piled with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and carne asada.
