We just gave the site a little facelift. We hope you like the new look. Please let us know if anything looks out of whack.
And incidentally, we just passed the million recipe mark! Just a little after one year from our launch, we indexed our 1 millionth recipe. I know it’s just number, but it’s a number with a lot of emotional significance for me.
This is just the beginning though. Look for more changes very soon…

Hi Howie - Wow, it’s alot brighter in here! Like the clean look, though I miss the “tabs” that made getting to your blog and other sections easier…..

It looks a lot like ma.gnolia.com.

A million recipes is very impressive. However, now that you have the database, I think a more sophisticated front-end search engine would be of value. For example, search by attributes (e.g. vegetarian), search by ingredients, search by time to prepare/cook. The problem with so many recipes is information overload, need a good front end to find what one wants.

Thanks for the feedback! We’ll definitely take your suggestions into account as we try to improve the site. I always wondered if people wanted a fancy advanced search feature.
You can do some of the things that you mention using the links on the right side of the search results. You can basically narrow down the current search results by various categories (including vegetarian, quick & easy, etc). Hopefully that will tide you over for the time being…

I liked the old book much better than the new one but my pc mechanic erased it by error. Any way I can get One?
